Found 6 blog entries for September 2013.

Are you obsessed with marathons or a first time marathoner?  Either way, you have to try our favorite road marathon in the Ogden/Ogden Valley area, and that’s the Huntsville Marathon.

Created in 2012, the Huntsville Marathon is a race held at the beginning of autumn in and around Huntsville, Utah.  Much of the race actually takes place in the gorgeous Monte Cristo Mountains, which are absolutely stunning this time of year.  For this reason, the Huntsville Marathon is heralded as one of the most beautiful marathon events in the country.

The Huntsville Marathon actually holds six different races: a full marathon, a half marathon, a 10K, a 5K, a Kids Fun Run, and the Mayor’s Walk.

The full marathon begins in the Monte Cristo area at mile post

Do you enjoy running?  Do you enjoy swimming?  Do you enjoy cycling?  If you answered yes to one of any of these three questions, there’s an event coming up in Ogden Valley that may catch your interest: the TriUtah Ogden Valley Triathlon on September 14th.

The TriUtah Ogden Valley Triathlon is one of eight races in the TriUtah Series.  Ogden Valley hosted another TriUtah race, the TriUtah Ultimate Relay, earlier this summer. The Ultimate Relay is a team-based triathlon relay that spans more than 130 miles from Huntsville to Midway, Utah.  The Ogden Valley Triathlon, however, takes place entirely in Ogden Valley, of course.

The TriUtah Ogden Valley Triathlon begins with a 1,000-meter swim at Windsurfer Beach, approximately a quarter of a mile south

If you do, you may have participated in the Rockwell Relay Series Ladies Pamperfest Challenge in July, or the Wildflower Pedalfest in August—both of which we promoted on our blog.  If you participated in either of these events and enjoyed them, or if you were unable to but would like another chance, you’re in luck because another similar event is just around the corner: the Wildflower Trailfest.

The Wildflower Trailfest is another women-only cycling event, set to take place at Snowbasin Resort this Saturday, September 14th.  Wildflower Outdoor, a women’s outdoor gear company that sponsored the Wildflower Pedalfest, is sponsoring this event as well.
