Davis Hospital and Medical Center is a large community hospital in Davis County, Utah. Located on Antelope Drive just off I-15 in Layton, Davis Hospital and Medical Center primarily serves residents of Davis County, as well as residents of Weber County and Morgan County.
Davis Hospital and Medical Center first opened its doors in 1976. Prior to its opening, residents of Davis County had to commute to Ogden or Salt Lake City for hospital care. Over the years, the hospital has undergone numerous expansions, renovations, and upgrades to keep up with the growing community and advancing medical technologies. The most recent project came in 2009, when the hospital constructed a three-story tower, which added 67 general beds, a fourteen-bed ICU, a Women’s Surgical Services Unit, and expanded inpatient capabilities.
