Fruit Heights is a small city in central Davis County. This city shares a border with Kaysville to the north and west, Farmington to the west and south, and the Wasatch Mountains to the east. Present-day Fruit Heights was settled by Mormon pioneer families in 1850, three years after settlers arrived in nearby Kaysville. The settlement sprang up around a Pony Express and stagecoach trail called Mountain Road. The community was referred to as "Old Mountain Road" until 1939, when the town was officially incorporated and adopted the name Fruit Heights. At that time, 100 residents lived in the town.
