History of Huntsville, Utah

Huntsville was settled in 1860 by seven Mormon pioneer families. These settlers included Jefferson Hunt, the town's namesake. The community's early years were fraught with quarrels with the local Native Americans, but things eventually stabilized and more settlers arrived throughout the years. The first school in Utah was founded in Huntsville in 1861. Huntsville, UT was incorporated in 1924, although some of the area remains unincorporated today.

Huntsville, UT Schools

Huntsville residents join Eden and Liberty children at Valley Elementary School and Snowcrest Junior High. The high school is Weber High and is located on the other side of the mountain in Pleasant View. 

Private and charter school options are available in Ogden. Saint Joseph Catholic School is located in Ogden and offers schooling for preschool-12th grade. DaVinci Academy of Arts and Sciences is also in Ogden and offers Kindgergarten-12th grade schooling with a unique artistic twist.
