Kaysville, Utah, is a city in northern Davis County.  Kaysville is bordered by Layton to the north, Farmington to the south, Fruit Heights to the east, and the Great Salt Lake to the west.  Mormon pioneers arrived and began to settle the area in 1847.  The settlement was initially named "Kay's Ward" after William Kay, one of the first settlers in the area and a local Mormon leader at the time.  Kay's Ward grew quickly; by 1850, 300 settlers inhabited the area.  After adopting the name "Kaysville," the settlement was officially incorporated in 1868, making it the first incorporated city in Davis County.

Today, approximately 27,300 residents call Kaysville home.  Kaysville is popular for its low crime rate, convenient location, and many wonderful amenities.  As for its crime rate, Kaysville ranks below national averages for both violent crime and property crime, according to BestPlaces.net.  As for its location, Kaysville is located within 20 minutes of Ogden and 30 minutes of Salt Lake City.  In addition, Kaysville residents are within short driving distance of many local attractions, including Boondocks Family Fun Center in Kaysville, Cherry Hill and Davis Park Golf Course in Fruit Heights, and Lagoon Amusement Park in Farmington.  Kaysville City offers many amenities and services to its residents, including numerous public parks, recreational activities, and much more.
 
Kaysville contains mostly residential and suburban living, with some rural living mixed in as well.  More than 60% of homes in Kaysville are valued between $150,000 and $300,000, and the median home value is $224,300.  In addition, the median home age is well below the national average.
