Build with Martineau

Martineau Homes has become a trusted name in custom home building across Northern Utah, especially in the scenic Ogden Valley. At a recent land open house event, Adam Stuart of Mountain Luxury Real Estate sat down with Andy from Martineau Homes to discuss the builder’s legacy, client experience, and the current construction climate in the Valley.
A Legacy of Luxury Custom Homes
Martineau Homes has been building high-end custom residences for decades. With a strong focus on luxury, craftsmanship, and service, their homes are a staple in Northern Utah communities like Eden and Huntsville. Their reputation is built on word-of-mouth, with most new projects coming from client referrals and real estate agent partnerships.
“Almost all of our work is from referrals,” says Andy. “People hear about us, walk through a Parade home, or talk to someone who had a great experience.”

A Guided, White-Glove Building Process
What sets Martineau apart is their hands-on approach. They guide clients—many of whom come from non-construction backgrounds—through each phase of the building journey.
From pre-construction design and costing to the final walkthrough, the Martineau team ensures every detail is thoughtfully executed. Andy shared that while he enjoys the early design stages, delivering the keys at the end is always the most rewarding.
“The best moment is that final walkthrough when everything is furnished, and you see the vision fully realized,” he says.
Is Now a Good Time to Build in Ogden Valley?
The cost of building in Ogden Valley has stabilized over the past couple of years. After a period of price volatility post-COVID, pricing is now more predictable—making this an ideal time for landowners or buyers to start building.
“Now’s a great time to get into it,” Andy says. “With all the activity in the valley—especially around the ski resorts—prices are continuing to rise.”
Why Act Now?
Many prospective builders already own land in Ogden Valley and are simply waiting for the "right time" to build. But with costs stabilizing and demand for mountain homes increasing, now is that time. From land closing to final move-in, the process can take over a year—so starting sooner allows you to capture today’s pricing. What better way to start than viewing Ogden Valley real estate?
