September will be upon us shortly, and that means summer is slowly winding down.  With the conclusion of summer comes the end of this year’s Blues, Brews, and BBQ Concert Series at Snowbasin.  Indeed, the series is two-thirds complete; only five shows remain on the concert schedule.  If you still have not been to one of these free concerts at Snowbasin, what are you waiting for?  We invite you to come up this Sunday, September 1st, for the latest edition of Blues, Brews, and BBQ, featuring the Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band and special guest Bullets and Belles.

The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band is quite possibly the biggest, most established band to play the stage at the Patio at Earl’s Lounge so far this year.  A three-piece band from Brown County, Indiana, approximately 50 miles southwest of Indianapolis, the Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band plays a style of blues described as “high-energy country blues.”  Featuring Josh “the Reverend” Peyton on guitar and vocals, his wife Breezy “Washboard” Peyton on the washboard, and Aaron “Cuz” Persinger on the drums, the Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band has released eight studio albums since forming in 2003: The Pork ‘n’ Beans Collection, Voodoo Cock EP, Big Damn Nation, The Gospel Album, The Whole Fam Damnily, The Wages, Peyton on Patton, and Between the Ditches.  With each release, the Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band has grown exponentially in popularity, and the band now plays more than 250 shows a year throughout the US, Canada, Europe, and the UK.  Don’t miss your chance to see this phenomenal touring act when the Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band hits the stage at the Patio at Earl’s Lodge this Sunday.

Joining the Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band at this edition of Blues, Brews, and BBQ will be Bullets and Belles, a local acoustic folk band from Salt Lake City.  Featuring Ryan Cron on guitars, Noel Sandburg on drums, and Erin Haley on keys, Bullets and Belles describes its style as “Neo-Doo-Wop-Folk.  Think Amy Winehouse and Dion & the Belmonts, but also Arcade Fire and Les Paul.”  Bullets and Belles have released two studio albums, The Curried Rice EP (2012) and Be Glad (2013).

This concert is sure to be one of the very best so far in this year’s Blues, Brews, and BBQ Concert Series.  Don’t miss out on this one!  The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band has a reputation for putting on an exceptional live show, and Bullets and Belles is rapidly growing in popularity in the local music scene.  Bring your whole family and enjoy an afternoon of awesome music!

Bullets and Belles will take the stage at the Patio at Earl’s Lounge at 12:00 pm, followed by headliner the Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band at 3:00.

Earl’s Lodge is located at the base of Snowbasin, just beyond the main parking lots.  The Patio is located around the back of the building; you should have no trouble finding it.  Admission to this Blues, Brews, and BBQ concert is free and open to all ages.  Delicious BBQ grub and beer will be available for purchase.
